Chief Spokesperson at the President's Office Heena Waleed has said that the Government will not ignore the list prepared by Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) in lieu of Parliament decision to hand out flats without regarding the ACC list.
A parliamentary panel on Monday approved the handing over of flats to those in the list without changing the list of beneficiaries who have been allotted flats under the housing scheme.
Addressing a press conference at the President's Office here today, Heena said that the ACC had raised several concerns regarding the flat list prepared by the previous government, so if the flats are given on the basis of the list, then the rights of the citizens will be taken away and that is not what this government wants.
"All these concerns have been raised in the ACC report and we have taken a different decision by ignoring the report and taking a different decision is taking away the rights of those who have not been allotted flats as well as those who have got flats," Heena said.
She said the government was trying to ensure that the flats were allotted in the most equitable manner.
