Almost 800,000 tourists have visited Maldives so far this year.
According to statistics, a total of 794,109 tourists would have arrived in Maldives by the end of Monday.
A total of 168,647 tourists visited Maldives in April while 164,357 tourists visited in March - a 3 percent increase in arrivals.
China has been the leading source market for tourist arrivals this year, with 87,169 arrivals so far. Russia trails behind as the second leading source market with 80,160 arrivals and UK coming in third with 76,823 arrivals.
The Government is aiming at 2 million tourist arrivals this year. In 2023, Maldives had 1.8 million tourist arrivals.
