The staff at the Ministry of Arts, Culture and Heritage conducted a program to refurbish the Male’ Hukuru Misky (lit: Friday Mosque).
Minister, Yumna Maumoon took part in the program that began yesterday along with the Deputy Minister, Ahmed Muhusin, Manager of Cultural Heritage, Ahmed Haashim, Research Analyst, Alaa Didi and Naajid Mohamed.
The Director General of the Environment Ministry, Mohamed Zahir also joined the program with the MP-elect for Mid-Maafannu constituency, Ibrahim Rasheed. A number of people from the general public were also involved in the program.
The Ministry said that the program is aimed to clean graveyard, drain the well and refurbish the Hukuru Miskiy for the upcoming month of Ramadan. The program is set to continue today as well.
