Parliament has given approval to appoint Fathimath Habeeba as Member of Civil Service Commission (CSC).

President Dr. Muizzu had submitted Fathimath Habeeba's name to the Parliament for approval along with the names of Abdul Haseeb Ismail, and Mariyam Shahidha.

Parliament Committee on Independent Institutions advised to appoint either Haseeb or Habeeba to the post after research.

Parliament voted on Haseeb's appointment first, with 18 members voting to appoint him while 19 members voted against. The Parliament then voted on appointing Habeeba as Member of CSC - with 38 members voting in favour.
