The financial statements of the cabinet ministers and political figures of this government will be made public soon, the President’s Office has said.

The government had earlier said it would make public the financial statements of cabinet ministers and political figures. However, the government has not made the statements public for six months.

When asked about the matter at a press conference held at the President's Office yesterday, Chief Spokesperson at the President's Office, Heena Waleed said the government's stand is to disclose matters and that has not changed.

"The financial statements, and the information will be disclosed as soon as possible," Heena said.

The President's Office has not released the details of the newly appointed deputy ministers and state ministers for days. Heena said that will be resolved and the information will be made available on the President's Office website very soon.
