Special Advisor to the President, Abdul Raheem Abdulla (Adhurey) has stated that he is ready to work 24 hours a day for development.

Speaking at a rally held in Fonadhoo yesterday to celebrate the victory of the constituency in the parliamentary elections, Adhurey said leaders like President Dr Mohamed Muizzu are rarely available. He is capable, experienced and has sincere intentions, he said. Therefore, there is no reason for the people to hesitate and what they should do is to follow the path shown by Muizzu, he said.

"The assurance I have to give tonight is that the government of President Dr. Muizzu is ready to work 24 hours a day to do whatever is necessary for the development of this Atoll, the development of Fonadhoo constituency, especially the development of Fonadhoo.

He further said that now is the time to shape the future and make a decision. It is time to think about the progress and development of the island rather than political thinking, he said.

"These five years are the time for people of all ideologies to work together for the development of Fonadhoo," he added.

For the first time, President Muizzu has changed the political history of this province. The state has been running for 4,000 years and there has never been a a person from this province in a high-level position of the cabinet.

“However, the two most powerful ministers in the cabinet are now from Fonadoo, Finance Minister Mohammed Shafeeq and Tourism Minister Ibrahim Faisal," he cheered.

Therefore, he stated that he does not believe that there is an island that needs to work harder than Fonadhoo to maintain Muizzu's government.
