The Ministry of Heritage has invited applications from islands interested in collaborating with the Ministry to celebrate Eid al-Al'ha.

In a notification, the Heritage Ministry said that the Ministry has invited applications are open starting Thursday for the islands to submit Eid celebration proposals.

According to the Ministry, the selection of an island will be based on the cultural events organised by the island, the expenses incurred by the council and activities that can be carried out without incurring a price.

The Ministry said Eid al-Al'ha will be celebrated in three islands across the country, but the islands will be selected based the best three proposals submitted.

Interested candidates are requested to send a proposal to the ministry's [email protected] mail by 1300hrs on May 9 .

The Ministry has also released a document on how marks will be awarded along with the announcement, which will include sports that can be attended by senior citizens and even if it includes sports depicting local culture.

According to the calendar, this year's Eid al-Al'ha will be celebrated on June 17 and the Hajj day will be on June 16.
