Maldives Industrial Fisheries Company (MIFCO)'s CEO and Managing Director Ahmed Shamah Rasheed's suspension has been revoked.
Shamah was initially suspended for 14 days by the Privatisation and Corporatisation Board (PCB) on March 18 after corporate governance-related cases were filed against him.
However, on March 31, the PCB extended his ban, which was till March 21.
MIFCO said on Wednesday that after the PCB informed that CEO Shamah's suspension has been revoked, he left the office for the functioning of the company, following which the interim committee set up to oversee the operations of the company has been dissolved.
His suspension was revoked after the matter was also referred to the Parliament's SOE Committee.
The PCB and Shamah have also been summoned in connection with the case, but the committee is yet to take a decision on the matter.
