Ruling Party PNC has secured majority seats in Addu City and Male' City.

Addu constituency which will have 8 seats in the 20th Parliament had been solely represented by MDP in the 19th Parliament.

MDP won 2 out of 8 seats from Addu City - Hithadhoo Dhekunu and Maradhoo constituency.

PNC won the remaining 6 seats.

MDP also lost Male' City majority at the Parliamentary election. As such, PNC secured 12 out of 17 seats for Male' City while MDP secured 3 seats, MNP secured 1 and independent candidate for Mahchangoalhi Medhu secured the seat.
