President Dr Mohammed Muizzu and his wife Sajidha Mohammed has voted in the Parliamentary elections.

The President cast his vote at a ballot box set up at Thajuddin School. He arrived to vote at about 8:40 p.m.

After casting his vote, President Muizzu urged the people to exercise their right to vote as soon as possible.

He said voting is a right and a responsibility given to every citizen by the Constitution. Therefore, he urged all the people to come out and exercise their right to vote as soon as possible.

First Lady Sajidha Mohammed voted at a ballot box set up at Ameeniyya School. She voted around 9:30 p.m.

Voting for the 93 constituencies will continue till 5:30 pm today.
