The operation of Kaddhoo Airport has been handed over to Regional Airports Company Limited (RACL).

RACL today said they have been handed over the operation of Kaddhoo Airport from yesterday as part of President Mohammed Muizzu's visionary policy to further expand and strengthen Maldivian air transport system.

RACL said Regional Airports is currently the 100 percent shareholder in the airport. The airport is currently being operated by the Kaddhoo Airport Company Limited.

Kaddhoo Airport is one of the first domestic airports to open in the Maldives.

An agreement was signed with China's CMEC on the 11th of this month to develop Kaddhoo Airport to international standards.

With the bringing of Kaddhoo Airport under the Regional Airports, the number of airports operated by the company has risen to eight.
