HDh. Hanimaadhoo Council has decided to lease 4 land plots for tourism and businesses from the tourism zone.

In an announcement, Hanimaadhoo Council said that four 10,000sqft land plots will be leased for 50 years.

All four land plots are located in the north of the island.

Hanimaadhoo Council said interested parties can register for bid before 1300hrs on 19 April. A bid deposit of MVR 2,000 will be required for the 10,000sqfr plots and another MVR 2,000 for any additional plots one might wish to purchase.

The Council said that bid documents will be provided once registration fees and forms are submitted, and urged for bid registration forms to be emailed to [email protected]. Hanimaadhoo Council said only business holders registered at Economic Ministry can partake in the bids.

Additionally, the Council said that bidding will be opened at 1300hrs on 19 April 2024 at the Council office or a designated venue.
