Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has mobilised L. Maavah Land Reclamation Project site on Tuesday.

Scope of work for the project includes land reclamation operations of 508,816cbm and search surveys.

The project is valued at MVR 61.46 million.

During his visit to L. Maavah last week, President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu had announced an additional 15 hectares will be reclaimed under the project to accommodate housing project in the island.

Additionally, the President also said the field work on the road development project and revetment for the shore protection project will commence soon.
