Field work has commenced on R. Alifushi road development project.

The project was launched by Local Governance Minister Adam Shareef Umar at a ceremony held at Alifushi on Monday. The ceremony was attended by Road Development Corporation (RDC)'s Managing Director Brigadier General (Rtd) Ali Zuhair, senior officials at RDC and Alifushi Council members.

The road development project was contracted to RDC on 23 April 2024 to be completed within 540 days. The project is valued at MVR 90,956,112.97.

Scope of work for the project includes asphalt work on 3.8km road, installation of water drainage system in the road, and installation of street lights.
