A team from State Electric Company (STELCO) has departed to Kulhudhuffushi City to resolve the power outage issue in the city.

Kulhudhuffushi City residents have been facing power outages for the past month and since 0915 hrs on Monday, the city has been in a complete blackout.

STELCO's Managing Director Hussain Fahmy, in a post on X, said that an expert team from STELCO has departed to Kulhudhuffushi to resolve the power outage issue at FENAKA's request. The team comprises of electrical and mechanical engineers, Fahmy said.

"STELCO's team is working together with FENAKA to resolve the power outage issues in Kulhudhuffushi City. The issue will be resolved soon as possible," Fahmy said.

As part of the efforts to resolve the power outages in the city, FENAKA has begun work on installing an 800 kW generator in the island.
