President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has stated that a Maldivian Nationalism college will be built soon.

President Dr. Muizzu made the remarks in his address on the occasion of Dhivehi Bahuge Dhuvas. He called upon all Maldivians to prioritise the usage of the Dhivehi language in offices, news channels, education, and communication.

"We will develop a Dhivehi Culture/Nationalism college soon. This will pave way for an official network on academic research into Maldivian culture and language," President Dr. Muizzu said.

He added that the Administration is working on establishing a national publishing house to enable new, modern and digital creations to be released and made available in Dhivehi across the globe. President Dr. Muizzu further added that National Library branches and cultural centres will be built across Maldives as well.

"My vision for Maldivian language and culture encompasses numerous such projects. Work is ongoing to establish this and hopefully soon the whole nation can reap the benefits of this," he said.

The President expressed his desire to cultivate generations proficient in the Dhivehi language. Encouraging people to embrace the language, he urged the public to appreciate our mother tongue while acquiring proficiency in other languages and knowledge. Additionally, the President emphasised the importance of preserving the Maldivian identity, suggesting that the nation should take pride in its indigenous heritage.
