President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has stated that he is aware that the people of Faafu Nilandhoo are disappointed due to the lack of development, adding that this government will develop the island as much as the people want.

The President, who is campaigning for the Parliamentary Elections to be held on Sunday, said the government has planned many things for the development of Nilandhoo. The airport in Nilandhoo will be the most modern airport that the people want.

"Stop being disappointed. There are even more things planned to do than asked for. There is a complete plan for this island. I will make it an urban center that the people of this Atoll will be proud of," he said.

The President said the government would also develop two resorts and a city hotel in the island lagoon besides building an airport in Nilandhoo. The government has intended to develop the country under a 20-year master plan. It is important to have a parliament that will support the government in making that plan a reality and gaining legal authority.

The President yesterday said the government would provide all the necessary facilities for the development of Nilandhoo. The President said he would build a new building for the island hospital, roads and solve the sewerage problem.
