Tourism Minister Ibrahim Faisal has said that four resorts will be developed in Laamu Atoll under the 'One Island' concept by the end of this tenure as per President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu's pledge.

Speaking at the rally held at L. Gan as part of President Dr. Muizzu's visit to the Atoll ahead of the Parliament Election, Minister Faisal said that the residents want tourism development close to the their islands.

As such, he said that tourism opportunities in Laamu Atoll will be marketed to foreign markets. He added that the Atoll will be showcased globally via documentaries created by MMPRC.

"We will partake in investment forums in Singapore, Dubai and Thailand this year. We will showcase the tourism potential in Laamu Atoll and market investment opportunities," Minister Faisal said.

He added that it is crucial for the Government to win a majority in the Parliament to ensure that development projects are carried out accordingly.
