President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has urged the public to vote in a parliament that will not be divided by political ideologies but will focus on development.

Speaking at the campaign meeting of Maldives National Party (MNF)'s Maafannu Uthuru constituency candidate Colonel Mohamed Nazim, President Dr. Muizzu said that the opposition's speeches induce hatred in the public.

"We are striving to bring development with peace. I urge the public not to give the opposition an opportunity to create obstacles in the development and peace in the nation. We will bring peace and stability to the nation. So vote for peace and harmony within the parliament so that the country can reap the benefits of development," President Dr. Muizzu said.

The President said that the Parliament election is crucial to ensure the peace and harmony in the nation. President Dr. Muizzu added that the administration will fulfil all the pledges and that the past five months are proof of the Government's initiatives.

"We need Parliament members who will support the Government in our development projects. Without the support of the legislature it would be challenging to complete the development projects that we want for the betterment of the nation," President Dr. Muizzu said.

He further added that the administration will not take action against any political figure over a difference in political ideology and that no one will be summoned to the authorities over political differences.
