Fitr Zakat will be distributed in Male' City with MVR 8,000 per head.

Islamic Minister and Zakat House Chairman Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed said that Fitr Zakat will be banked into the accounts of everyone eligible to receive Zakat.

"The families of those imprisoned for various reasons will also receive Zakat. Additionally, those in Kudakudhinge Hiyaa and Centre for People with Special Needs will receive Zakat as well," Minister Dr. Shaheem said.

Minister Dr. Shaheem added that Zakat has been distributed in Maldives based on what is available in the islands and that this year, the number of people who paid Zakat is higher.
