Housing Minister Dr. Ali Haider has assured that land will be handed over to those allocated land under the previous government's Binveriyaa project.

A letter signed by the Minister was issued to all the land recipients to assure the allocation of their plots.

The Housing Ministry said the provisional document will be available through the Ministry's Hiyaavehi Portal.

The minister signed the letter to the landowners and said that the land will be handed over to the recipients as per the registry and the land acquisition document.

Those who have not collected their land registry document will also be legally bound to the ministry and if they have received the title deed and signed the accompanying affidavit, the government will respect the provisions of the deed and act accordingly, it said.

The Housing Ministry has opened the portal for those who wish to relocate the 1,347 plots of land allocated under the Scheme to Gulheefalhu as well.

The Housing Ministry said the land was allocated under the Scheme without allocating enough land for essential services in the area and with the land required for these services, the land use plan of Giraavarufalhu has been changed.
