President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has stated that no ideological difference should tarnish the unity among the public.
The President made the remarks while speaking at the ceremony held to re-open the fountain in Jumhooree Maidhaan after repairs. President Dr. Muizzu said that the Maldivians are one race, people who speak one language and follow one religion. As such, the national unity should not be tarnished, he said.
"Regardless of ideological differences, we should never forget the unity that exists amongst us. We are Maldivians and we should take pride in our identity. We should love our nation and uphold our religious values," President Dr. Muizzu said.
He added that at the end of the day, we should teach the upcoming generations that we are one nation and the unity amongst us should be upheld.
