Islamic Ministry has announced that Tuesday, 9 April 2023, will be the last day of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr will fall on Wednesday, 10 April.

Islamic Ministry issued a statement signed by Minister Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed that the moon had not been sighted in Maldives and other Islamic Nations. As such, Eid al-Fitr will fall on Wednesday, the statement said.

Eid al-Fitr prayers will be held at 0700hrs this year.

The administration has announced plans to celebrate Eid al-Fitr across the nation this year.
