STELCO Managing Director Hussain Fahmy has said that the efforts being made to light up the entire country for Eid al-Fitr are a great religious and national effort.

The government has decorated all the cities and islands with Islamic lights to celebrate Eid al-Fitr.

Fahmy said in a post on X today that the lighting of the Maldives islands for this year's Eid is an effort to revive the Islamic virtues of unity and friendship through the joy of Eid.

It is also an attempt to revive the joyful and colorful spirit of Eid celebrations that has been lost in recent times and to facilitate a pleasant Eid experience for people of different ages, he said.

Fahmy added that this work will encourage future generations to celebrate Eid in a national spirit.

“It is an honor for STELCO employees and the entire company to take the lead in planning and implementing this artistic and exciting work to bring happiness to the entire country,” Fahmy said.
