Special Advisor to the President and PNC's Chairperson Abdul Raheem Abdulla has stated that one of the biggest challenges former president Yameen Abdul Gayoom faces is his inability to understand sincerity in people.

Speaking at the PPM/PNC panel discussion on Sunday, Abdul Raheem said that the PPM/PNC had been at the forefront to call for Yameen's release.

He said that he had made personal sacrifices for Yameen, adding that those with the former president currently are not sincere and that the latter is the main challenge faced by Yameen.

"You cannot find anyone more sincere towards Yameen than those in PPM/PNC leadership. I am saying this from experience," Abdul Raheem said.

He said that he does not wish to see the former president lose face in front of the public like the former communications minister Maleeh Jamal, former CP Hussain Waheed and Yameen's lawyer Dr. Mohamed James Ahmed.

Abdul Raheem further said that he is forced to speak out on Yameen because the latter has not valued sincere support.
