Police have publicised a video presentation of the operation conducted on 12 December 2021 to seize 118kg of drugs from Male' and Hulhumale'.

Police said during a press conference at Iskandhar Koshi on Thursday that details of all major cases ruled upon by the court will be publicised.

As such, police revealed photos and videos of the operation to seize 119kg of drugs from Male' and Hulhumale'.

Ahmed Sunain, Ali Zubair and Ahmed Mujahid from GDh. Hoandehdhoo were charged in the case.

Mohamed Akram Abdul Hannan from GDh. Hoandehdhoo was also accused in the case but police said that he flew out of the country and has not since returned.

The video footage shown today show the accused purchasing bags and boxes from shops in Male' city to transport the drugs as well as 3 foam boards from the local market. Footage also showed them loading the drugs into the boxes and transporting the drugs via a launch, car, and a motorbike.

The court ruled held Ali Zubair guilty of possession of drugs while charges were dropped against Sunain and Mujahid.

Police said that the institution carried out a thorough investigation in the case.
