President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has stated that he will increase the salaries of other sectors of the government as the economy improves.

Replying to a question on the Q&A series "Raeesge Javaabu", the President said he would increase the salaries of all sectors during this term as he had promised.

“I have promised to increase the salaries of all sectors during this term as the economy improves and the revenue increases,” he said.

Noting that the salaries of the police and army have been increased, the President said that pay harmonization will be carried out in other sectors as well.

The government has increased the salaries of the police from the 1st of this month. However, no details were given.
