Gender Ministry and Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has signed an agreement to develop a senior citizen's centre in Hulhumale'.

The agreement was signed on behalf of HDC by MD Ibrahim Fazul Rasheed and Gender Minister Dr. Aishath Shiham.

HDC said the centre will be built in Hiyaa Tower 8 with various facilities and resources for the senior citizens. The centre will also conduct information sessions on health for senior citizens as well, HDC said.

HDC said that the corporation had been planning the development of the centre prior to signing the agreement and that 90 percent of work on the centre has been completed. The centre is being built under HDC's CSR.

HDC said the centre will be operated by Gender Ministry.
