Foreign Ministry has said the 1,500 tons of water donated by China's Xizang Autonomous has arrived in Maldives.

In a statement on Tuesday, Foreign Ministry said that Xizang's Chairman Ran Jinhai had met with President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu in November 2023 and discussed the donation of 1,500 tons of drinking water to Maldives.

The water arrived in Maldives on Tuesday, Foreign Ministry said.

Foreign Ministry said the water will be used during shortages in the islands.

China donated 'Tibet 5100' drinking water.
