Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has opened 108 plots of land for sale in Thilafushi for industrial purposes.

In a notification, HDC said the lands put for sale are in area B of Zone A, which includes 64 plots measuring 2,500-4,999 sq ft, 42 plots of 5,000-9,999 sq ft and two 10,000-14,999 sq ft.

HDC said the bidding starts at MVR 1,700 per sq ft. Those interested in buying land will have to submit their bids through the portal dedicated for the same on the HDC website.

According to HDC, the land from Thilafushi will be sold in two phases: in the first stage, expression of interest (EOI) will have to be submitted for the land of interest and in the second stage, the bidder will have to bid for the land where the EOI has been submitted.
