Villa College has signed an agreement with the Maafushi Island Council to provide scholarships to students in Maafushi.

The agreement was signed by Vice Rector Dr. Ali Najeeb on behalf of Villa College at a ceremony held in Maafushi on Thursday. The agreement was signed by the President of Maafushi Council, Hassan Salah.

Villa College said the agreement was signed by the island council to improve the educational situation in Maafushi and build an educated generation.

The scholarships will be awarded to a certain number of students to study at Villa College every year under a specific rule determined by the Maafushi Council.

Villa College said that with the agreement, works are also underway to start their programs and courses in the island. The college will also provide assistance to enhance the technical skills of the employees in the areas required by the council.

Under the agreement, the college will promote its courses in collaboration with the Maafushi Council.
