The national airline, Maldivian, is scheduled to start seaplane services for air ambulance flights tomorrow.

The seaplane will begin operations tomorrow, a communications official of the airline confirmed to One Online. According to the official, the air ambulance will used as a twin-otter seaplane.

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu shared a photo of the seaplane to be used as an air ambulance on his X Account.

The President has said that the seaplane will be used as an air ambulance only during the day. A seaplane is also used as an air ambulance to reach any island, he said.

The air ambulance service in the Maldives is a presidential promise. The service was launched on January 1 with a Dash-8 aircraft. The first flight of the air ambulance was made that night.
