Maldives Zakat House has started accepting Zakat-al-Fitr for the year.

The Zakat House started accepting Fitr Zakat online starting yesterday until the 6th of next month.

Zakat can be paid online through Dhiraagu Pay, M-Faisaa, Faisaa Mobile, BML portal, FahiPay application, and Bandari Pay of the Ministry of Finance. Zakat can be paid from Bandari Pay till the last day of Ramadan.

Zakat House will accept Zakat from 9:30 am to 1:00 pm on non-official holidays from today until the 28th of this month.

Since the government has closed the last ten days of Ramadan, Zakat can be paid from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm every day except Friday and Saturday from 31st of this month to 9th of next month.

The amount of Fitr Zakat payable is MVR 12 for ordinary rice, MVR 70 for Thai white rice, MVR 80 for red flour, MVR 70 for ordinary basmati rice, and MVR 100 for good rice of basmati, MVR 125 for the best of basmati rice. If it is ordinary flour, it is MVR 10 and MVR 75 for Atta.
