Ooredoo Maldives has launched 'Ooredoo Nation Gamers Land 2024' on Monday.

Ooredoo MD and CEO Khalid Al Hamadi and Youth Minister Ibrahim Waheed (Aswad) inaugurated the gamers land at a ceremony held at Ooredoo Headquarters in Hulhumale'.

The Ooredoo Nation Gamers Land, which is scheduled to begin in October, will be attended by the country's emerging gaming community and all gamers.

Ooredoo said the total price pool for EAFC 24, Mobile Legends and PUBG tournaments, which are planned throughout the year, is MVR 700,000.

This year's Ooredoo Nation includes inter-school, inter-university/college, inter-office, inter-resort competitions.

Speaking on the occasion, Minister Ibrahim Waheed said that Ooredoo has revolutionized the communication services of the Maldives and the company is also providing income generation in such competitions aimed at the youth.

"The youth and everyone who plays the game will be convinced that the tournaments planned by Ooredoo are quality. I would like to thank Ooredoo for its support to e-Sports at this level," the Minister said.

"This tournament will be open to all those interested in playing games in the Maldives and we are also trying to take this year's tournament abroad," CEO Al Hamadi said.

All the contestants at Ooredoo Nation will be eligible to compete for the 'Ultimate Player' trophy amongst players in the tournament. This is the first time that such a trophy will be given in the country.
