The President has said that he will fulfill the promises he made during the presidential election campaign.

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu, who is on a tour of Baa Atoll visited Hithadoo island today, where he met the people and said he would make their hopes a reality. He said he would work to prioritize the issues that the people need most.

The President made many promises to Hithadhoo during the campaign. One of the biggest complaints of the islanders is that the port project is not being carried out as they want. The President has assured that the project will be completed with the changes required by the people.

Other pledges by the President for the island:

- Continue to expand the land during this year

- Construction of football field, volleyball court and handball field

- Expand the health center and increase the number of doctors and staff

- Provide a staffroom and multipurpose hall at the school

- Road construction work

- Establishment of a youth center and ATM
