Telecom giant Dhiraagu has won 'Maldives' Broadband Telecom Company of the Year' at Asian Telecom Awards 2024.

The awards recognize celebrates the achievements of the communications sector in the Asian region and the progress made by companies in building a modern digital environment.

Dhiraagu said the award was in recognition of the company's efforts to provide high-speed mobile and fiber broadband services to an island nation with a population distribution to several islands like the Maldives and develop it in a communication and digital view.

This achievement shows our relentless commitment to deliver high-speed internet to all parts of the country and provide the best possible service to our customers. Dhiraagu has provided 100% mobile 4G services to 187 inhabited islands, resorts and industrial islands in the Maldives. In the past year, the company has expanded fiber-to-the-home internet services to 94% of households. Dhiraagu has also provided 5G services to 50% of the population.

Dhiraag recently won the 'Fastest Mobile Network in the country' at the Ookla Speedtest Awards. This is the third consecutive year that Dhiraag has won the award.
