Male' City Council is looking for a contractor for the cat facility in Farukolhufushi.

In a gazette notification issued on Thursday, the City Council said that those interested in the work will be allowed to clear the information at 1100hrs on Tuesday at the admin section meeting room in the Council. Bid submissions will be open at 1100hrs on Thursday.

City Council said proposals will not be accepted if contractors do not clear information or submit bid as per the deadline.

On January 25 this year, the Housing Development Corporation (HDC) had allotted 5,000 square feet of land to the civic body for the construction of a cat shelter.

Mayor Adam Azim has said that the issue of potholes in Male' city needs to be resolved immediately and it is a national issue.

The cat shelter will be constructed and maintained by the City Council.
