Male' Mayor Adam Azim has requested President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu to include Uthuru Thilafalhu, Gulhifalhu, Hulhumale' 3 and Giraavaru Falhu in the jurisdiction of Male' City Council.

Speaking at a public meeting held by the City Council at Salton Park last night, Azim said that the people of Male' city want the three places to be part of the jurisdiction of the Male' City Council.

"We would like to include Hulhumale' Phase 3, Gulhifalhu, Uthuru Thilafalhu, and Giraavaru Falhu into the jurisdiction of Male', which is something everyone had requested in all my campaigns to bring them into the jurisdiction of the city, so I request the President to bring these places into the council's jurisdiction," Azim said.

Azim said that it was not his own or the council's request. President Muizzu and the Local Governance Ministry have been a great support for the city council. Azim said that he would cooperate with the government in whatever works that benefit the people. He said that other initiatives initiated by him will be carried forward.

Highlighting the problem of waterlogging on the city's roads, Azim said that the Cpincil will soon launch a programme to tackle the problem of waterlogging and will soon modernise the fish market in the city and make the city's roads less traffic congested.
