Economic Minister Mohamed Saeed has said that staple foods and basic commodities will be available without any shortage during the coming Ramadan.
Speaking with the residents of Shaviyani Milandhoo as part of the President's ongoing tour of the North, the Minister noted that many works have been completed during the three months of the government.
As such, he highlighted the President's efforts to secure staple foods supply for the country for one year, and efforts to source such items from the neighboring countries as well.
Saeed said a working committee has been formed to prevent food prices from rising during Ramadan.
“We are very confident that with Allah's help, we will make arrangements for easy availability of staple foods and basic commodities during the month of Ramadan,” Saeed said.
