President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has revealed that the Housing Land and Urban Development Ministry has not yet received access to the 'Gedhoruveriyaa' portal built by former President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih's government.

The President said the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) had taken a decision on the complaints regarding 4,000 flats awarded by the previous government and informed the Housing Ministry.

However, the ministry does not have access to the portal containing the information of the applicants, he said.

"If we don't get access to the portal, we can't even look at the information of those who applied and those who were declared ineligible. And we want to make it public after checking the facts, but it is being delayed since we do not have access," he stated.

He said a committee comprising employees of the Housing Ministry and public figures would be formed to review the ACC's decision. The committee will not allow those who are declared ineligible to lose their right to housing, he said.
