The long-term development of various parts of the Maldives is an important step towards the development of the whole country, President Dr. Mohammed Muizzu has said.

Speaking to the residents of Gaafu Alif Villingili as part of his tour of the South, he said that every citizen of the Maldives is equal and he loves every citizen equally. He said he would not discriminate between small islands and large islands and would bring the development needed to small islands as well.

The President said that the development of different regions is very important in the sustainable development of the Maldives.

"From now on, every island will have the necessary football stadium, school, health center and port. By doing that, different regions will be developed, allowing others to settle down. It will provide a permanent solution, whether it is in terms of income, education, or health," the President said.

The President said he would do what all islands need, strengthening the economy and increasing income. The President also said that different regions will be developed.

"It is a 20-year master plan, consulting the people. Under it, various urban centers will be identified and zones will be developed," he said.

The President said he would implement the development projects needed by the people of Villingili. The airport project will be accompanied by the dredging of the island and the expansion of the Atoll Hospital and the port will also start soon, he said.

The President said he would continue to fulfill the promises he had made since he submitted his nomination papers. He will not be a leader who will waste the people's money, he said.

"I am fulfilling all my promises. Not neglecting a single word," he said.

The President asked the people to elect a parliament that would fulfill the responsibilities entrusted to him from the experience gained in the past three months.
