Bank of Maldives (BML) has joined the Maldivian Red Crescent's "Partners for Humanity" initiative.

Maldivian Red Crescent said on Wednesday that BML's assistance would enable the organisation to assist more people in times of crises. Under this initiative, BML will partake in Red Crescent's activities targets towards the vulnerable populations across Maldives.

The Maldivian Red Crescent has been carrying out a variety of activities, including first aid, emotional and social support, and various disaster relief efforts.

The initiative includes first aid, psychological and social assistance, and disaster relief efforts.

BML has already provided various assistance to people with disabilities and children, as well as in the development of a variety of facilities that benefit a community.

In addition, the bank has been implementing various programmes to help families in vulnerable situations.
