Nuzuha approved as BroadCom member

Maldives parliament has approved the appointment of former Raajje TV presenter Aminath Nuzuha to the Broadcasting Commission (BroadCom).

The post of BroadCom member became vacant after Ahmed Gais, who was also the commission's Vice-President, resigned in late 2022 to pursue a political career.

The committee report on the matter was sent to today's session.

Thirty-four members voted in favor of her appointment to the Broadcasting Commission.

The Presidency decided to consider Nuzuha's name as passed and not to put the remaining names to a vote.
