800 people have registered for the Hajj pilgrimage within a month and a half, Hajj Corporation Managing Director Mohammed Shakir said.
Speaking on Aslu TV "Baabu" program, Shakir said the youth are now more interested in performing Hajj. Young people working in various companies and agencies are saving a certain amount of their salaries every month to go for Hajj, he said.
As such, he noted that some are participating in packages with salary reductions as well.
He added that the corporation charges twice as low as private groups who offer pilgrimage packages.
