Assistant Commissioner of Police Farhad Fikri and Assistant Commissioner of Police Ismail Navin have been appointed as Deputy Commissioners of Police.
Home Minister Ali Ihsan handed over the appointment letters to them at a ceremony held at Iskandar Building, which was attended by Commissioner of Police Ali Shujau and senior police officers.
Farhad, who was appointed DCP, joined the police force on March 30, 1991, and had served in various police departments.
Farhad served as the head of the operational sector, investigative, administrative and support sectors. He served as head of operational support command and acting head of the People's Directorate until his appointment as deputy commissioner of police.
Farhad also served as acting police commissioner after former police commissioner Mohamed Hameed retired from the post.
Naveen has been in the police establishment since July 7, 1994, and has been heading the department of operational, investigative, administrative and support sectors. Naveen was the head of corporate services directorate until his appointment as deputy commissioner of police.
