State Trading Organisation (STO) is looking to recruit agents across 15 atolls, to contribute to the sale of Makita power tools.

STO announced on Wednesday that the organisation is looking to employ agents in 31 islands across 15 atolls.

The islands and atolls include:

  • HA. Atoll: Dhidhdhoo
  • Sh. Atoll: Funadhoo, Milandhoo
  • N. Atoll: Velidhoo, Manadhoo
  • R. Atoll: Dhuvafaru, Meedhoo, Alifushi, Ungoofaaru
  • B. Atoll: Thulhaadhoo
  • Lh. Atoll: Naifaru, Hinnavar
  • K. Atoll: Kaashidhoo, Himmafushi, Gulhi, Tulusdhoo
  • AA. Atoll: Rasdhoo, Thoddhoo
  • ADh. Atoll: Mahibadhoo, Maamigili
  • V. Atoll: Keyodhoo
  • M. Atoll: Mulaku, Dhiggaru, Muli
  • F. Atoll: Nilandhoo
  • Dh. Atoll: Kudahuvadhoo, Meedhoo
  • Th. Atoll: Thimarafushi, Vilufushi
  • L. Atoll Isdhoo, Maavu

STO said that agents would work on promoting sales of Makita power tools in their designated islands, and that only two agents will be hired from each island.

Only those who sell general construction goods registered with the Ministry of Economic Development under the Registration of Business Act and have a hardware showroom or shop can be appointed as agents, STO said.
