The government has opened applications for the post of Commissioner General of Taxation following the resignation of the Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA)’s Commissioner General of Taxation.
The President’s Office will accept applications between 0800-1200hrs on February 20 - 21, 2024.
Application forms are available from the President’s Office reception and are available for download at www.presidency.gov.mv.
The president's office opened applications for the post after Fathuhulla Jameel, who was appointed to the post on 28 October 2019 decided to resign.
Before being appointed commissioner general of taxation, Fathuhullah was the Director General of MIRA, and had worked in MIRA for several years.
Fathullah first served as a revenue officer in MIRA and was later promoted to the post of senior revenue officer. He was appointed director general of MIRA in 2010.
After serving as director general, he left the post and his job at MIRA in 2016 and started serving as the manager of tax, risk and compliances at Dhiraagu, but applied for the post of commissioner general of taxation at MIRA later.
