President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has stated that he aims to meet all island councils and WDCs within the next month.

The President, who is currently on a visit to Thaa Atoll, said he wanted to go where the council is and did not want the councils to be brought to him.

"Hence [my trip to] this Atoll is almost over. Next week, there is a trip abroad. After the trip is completed, we are dedicating a month to travel and meet all the councils. However, we will not be able to travel to all the islands, so the Councils and WDCs will be invited to selected islands from the Atolls," the President stated.

The President will arrive in Dubai on Tuesday. After the visit, he will return to the Maldives on the 15th of this month.

The President added that he would meet with all the councils and the WDC to clarify the concerns of the people. It will also make it easier to do things in a certain order, he said.
