President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has appointed ambassadors to three countries, and sent their names to the Parliament for approval.

They include the appointment of the Maldivian Ambassador to neighboring Sri Lanka, Masood Imad, the Maldivian Ambassador to Malaysia, Mariyam Shabeena Ahmed, and Maldivian Ambassador to Belgium and the European Union. Geela Ali.

The Speaker of Parliament has decided to refer the names of the three to the Foreign Affairs Committee for consideration.
