The President's Office has stated that the Presidential Address which will be presented by President Dr. Mohammed Muizzu, is the most visionary address to be presented to the Parliament to date.

Tomorrow, President Muizzu will present his first presidential address. The President will arrive in Parliament between 8:25 and 8:45 am to deliver the Presidential address. The Presidential address will be delivered at 9:00 am.

This is a statement that the President is obliged to make at the opening of the Parliament every year, in accordance with Article 84 of the Constitution.

The President’s Office said today that this is a presidential statement in which the President will highlight and announce very promising and important issues for the people and the country. The Presidential address will also present the most comprehensive and visionary statement presented by a top leader of the country to date.

Article 84 of the Constitution provides that, every year, in the first session of the first term of Parliament, the President shall deliver a Presidential address to the Parliament, describing the situation in the country and outlining policies for further improvement.

The Speaker of Parliament will conclude the session after the President delivers the Presidential address.

According to the Rules of Procedure of the Parliament, the Leader of the Opposition in Parliament must respond to the President's Presidential address.
